Can you hear the sea?<\/p>

Swish...<\/strong><\/p>

A little wave slides across the sand.<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

Then back it goes.<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

Swish...<\/strong><\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

Bran hops along the shore beside you.<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

Hop.<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

Hop.<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

Stop.<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

What\u2019s this?<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

There is something small in the sand.<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

A shell.<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

Come and look.<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

It is pale and smooth, with tiny lines running across it.<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

The sea has left it here beside us.<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

You can hold it gently in your hand.<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

Does it feel smooth?<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

Or can you feel little bumps and ridges beneath your fingers?<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

Bran looks very closely.<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

Perhaps a little too closely.<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

His beak nearly touches it.<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

No, Bran.<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

It isn't something to eat.<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

He knew that.<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

Probably.<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

Listen.<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

Swish...<\/strong><\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

Another wave is coming.<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

It slides a little further across the sand this time.<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

Closer.<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

Closer.<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

Then it stops.<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

Back it goes to the sea.<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

The shell stays with us.<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

Bran hops around it once.<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

The breeze ruffles his feathers.<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

The sand feels different beneath your boots.<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

And somewhere above us, a seabird calls.<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

One little shell.<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

One little wave.<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

One very ruffled robin.<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

The shore is full of things to see and hear.<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

And today, we found one together.<\/p>
