I have walked beyond the paths I know well, into places where the ground feels different and familiar landmarks fall behind.

Out there, stories gather differently.

There are things I have seen only once. Others I have known first by track, shadow or a shape against the changing light.

The Hollow Stag. The Tide Wraith. The Ember Wolf. The Iron Crow. The Lumen Serpent. The Mirror Moth.

I have written down what I could.

Whether these creatures belong to the land, to its older stories, or somewhere between the two, I cannot always say.

Perhaps that is how the Outlands should remain.
